SNB Capital Al Jood GCC Equity Fund

The Fund is an open-ended fund which aims to achieve long-term capital growth and income generation through investing in shares of companies listed on GCC Stock Exchanges that are compliant with Shariah provisions.

Principal Investment Strategies

The fund invests mainly in equities listed on the GCC markets and is compliant with Shariah standards, as well as investments in IPO and GCC equity funds, in addition to the subscription of rights issue and investment in Shariah compliant liquidity funds approved by SAMA Capital Finance offered a public offering based on return and risk. The Fund Manager normally invests a minimum of 60% of the Fund's net assets primarily in cash-yielding GCC equities that meet Shariah standards and provides a maximum of 40% liquidity to meet redemptions, cash dividends and other expenses. The Fund Manager has the right to keep part of that liquidity in the form of cash with Samba Financial Group and licensed by the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency if he believes that the economic market conditions are relatively inappropriate for investment. On the other hand, the Fund may invest at a rate not exceeding 10% Of the liquidity in Shariah-compliant liquidity funds or Shariah compliant investment funds, which are licensed by the Capital Market Authority (CMA) and which invest in sukuk, bonds and structured products denominated in Saudi riyals, the US dollar or other GCC currencies.

  • The Fund is suitable for an investor who seeks capital growth and income generation and at the same time is willing to accept the high risks associated with equity markets generating potential returns on a long-term basis. However, the Fund is subject to high market volatility (due to the composition of its portfolio) and, as a result, the Unit price may rise or fall, and upon redemption, the Unitholder may not be able to recover all or any of the principal invested amount
